Factor ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Factor mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including your selected language, grade level, and learning preferences.

User Content: We process text messages, voice recordings, and images you submit for AI-powered features such as problem solving, language coaching, and exam preparation. Voice recordings are transcribed and not stored permanently.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve our AI-powered learning features
• To personalize your learning experience based on your preferences
• To authenticate your account and sync your data across devices
• To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions
• To analyze app usage and improve performance
• To send verification codes for account access

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase — Authentication and data storage
• Google Cloud — AI processing (Gemini) and text-to-speech
• Firebase — Crash reporting (Crashlytics) and performance analytics
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Google AdMob — Advertising for free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the IDFA on iOS) to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy → Tracking on iOS).
• Resend — Transactional email delivery

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Children's Privacy

Factor is designed for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at factorapps.team@gmail.com so we can promptly delete it.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is stored to provide a seamless experience. You can delete your account at any time, and all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
